




Perhaps the most populated and diversify style globally, Aikikai in Iran is no different. With many instructors through out the nation, Aikikai has dominated Aikido in Iran and continues to grow more and more every year. At present, Aikikai home base is in Tehran, capital of Iran, and directed by Mr. Hassan Ziaii
Based in the city of Shiraz, Jiyushinkai is headed by Ali Amiripanah, 4th Dan, and student of Chuck Clarke, founder of the style. Being the only person promoting Jiyushinkai in Iran, Mr. Amiripanah has been able to expand and increase its Jiyushinkai population during the past few years. At present, he oversees three other dojos run by his students.
Based in the city of Bandar (Port) Anzali, Shin-Shin Toitsu is currently headed by Mr. Mahboubi, Nidan, replacing Mr. Alaii Nejad, Nidan, whom left for Australia a few years back. Being the only certified Shin-shin Toitsu instructor in Iran, he faces the same challenges as Mr. Amiripanah. He is currently running two Dojos; one in his home town, Port Anzali, and the other one in Rasht, the capital of the Gilan province.
The style just recently became active headed by Mr. Soleiman Mehdizadeh, Shodan & Tomiki Certified instructor, and is based in Tehran. He is also holds a 7th Dan in Okinawan Gojo Ryu Karate, Kiyoshi 7th Dan in Iaido, Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu, and 3rd Dan in Kendo.

Coordinated by Mr. Kaveh Shahfar, this style or group is consisted of several schools, which are not affiliated to any of the known styles. However, since The IAA is in charge of all Aikido styles, these schools have been organized under one section. Under certain conditions set by The IAA, these schools can later become independent and function along side the known styles.
